Ninety years of Farah

Farah was originally founded in the 1920’s in El Paso, Texas. The history of the clothing brand is steeped in unusual history. If you were to meet the old man now he would be sitting in a bar, in the darkest corner, probably wearing his well worn chinos and a rough looking shirt, telling fables to the other customers about how he started out.

He had begun with his first product the chambray shirt, which was initially made in to a garment manufacturer for millions of Americans and uniforms for the armed forces in the US. By the 1970s it had made international status, and had made itself in to a household name thanks to its hop-sack trouser which was an icon of its age, worn by many well known celebrities.

The anniversary has encouraged the brand to revisit some of their older more original items from their previous 1920s collection. The comprehensive collection involves army chinos, pea coats, duffel coats, work jackets, slim cut twill trousers and chambray work shirts t name but a few.
