Bjorn Borg Profits Rise

Bjorn Borg has had an amazing year, the company’s year net profit had risen with 74.4% to GBP 9.94 million in comparison to last year.

For the year ahead, Bjorn Borg is hoping to expand its brand worldwide. It’s hoping to launch flagship stores across the UK and Spain and wants to have more stockists in Europe. The Managing Director Nils Vinberg has said: “Our label is strongly represented in the smaller countries, and we want to accomplish the same in the rest of the world.”

Also on the cards, they want to expand in the US as soon as possible, as Vinberg believes this is where the main focus will be. For the Dutch market Bjorn Borg isn’t anticipating any changes. Last year the brand opened its 30th store in The Netherlands, which has meant its market is good and sufficient. With around 40%of the profit, The Netherlands is at the moment the main market of the Bjorn Borg range, with the Swedish market holding 26% of the total profit.

As well as expanding the brand’s point of sales, Bjorn Borg has recently starting targeting new groups, and it had also opened a new lingerie line for 30 plus customers last autumn.
