History

Hudson was launched in 1990 after spotting a gap in the market for well priced directional men’s footwear. At that time its creators were working with a Mens factory in Italy who understood the ethos behind the shoes and are still realizing their designs to this day. By working in Italy they have been able to tap into the abundance of new leathers and shoe making advancements enabling us to be innovative and experimental whilst always ensuring the highest quality. The design team travel the globe and visit the factories on a regular basis constantly developing new collections to keep the ranges fresh and pioneering. Over the last decade the brand has continued to evolve but has stayed true to its roots.

In 2002 Hudson collaborated with Paul Weller on a unique collection that became known as Chrome by Hudson. This was an instant success and something we at Hudson continue to be very proud of. That same year Hudson shoes were voted Maxim magazines “Best Mens Footwear Brand.” With the launch of H by Hudson in 2004 the brand has continued to grow in popularity and diversity securing its reputation as a leader in Mens contemporary footwear. Hudson always looks to innovate, not imitate.

Launched in 2004 H is their errant younger brother, pioneering, subversive and rebellious. H by Hudson offers affordable innovative footwear whilst echoing the Hudson philosophy. Picking up trends and giving them thier own idiosyncratic twist they are heavily influenced by youth culture and music both past and present. With H they offer an eclectic product mix from the much imitated modern day espadrille to sharp formals. With their finger on the pulse, H can be expected to lead the way in footwear trends ensuring the ongoing success of this fast moving brand.
